Our firm is conveniently located in Fremont, Michigan with additional offices in Casnovia, Michigan.  We routinely handle matters in Newaygo County, Muskegon County, Oceana County, Kent County, Ottawa County, and Mecosta County, but have served clients from the Upper Peninsula to the Indiana border.

Lindsey Barkow
Lindsey focuses on probate matters at Barkow Law Company. Prior to joining the legal profession, Lindsey served as a social worker in her native Upper Peninsula, which gave her experience and perspective on helping elderly and young people in high-risk environments. Lindsey was also blessed to work with special education students in the public school setting. Her practice also includes estate planning, commercial debt collections, and employment issues.
Lindsey graduated from Michigan Technological University with a degree in Social Sciences. After working as a social worker in the Upper Peninsula, Lindsey decided to pursue her dream of being a lawyer at Thomas M. Cooley Law School. During law school, Lindsey gained invaluable experience as a long-term intern with the 60 Plus Elder Law Clinic and an externship with an elder law firm in Hastings, Michigan. In 2014, Lindsey was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan and the United States Court for the Western District of Michigan.
Lindsey is married to her law school classmate and partner at the firm, Ben Barkow. Together they have two sons, Otto and Gunnar.  Lindsey loves cooking, hiking, working out, camping, and any excuse to be near water.

R. Benjamin Barkow
Ben specializes in agricultural law and business & estate planning at Barkow Law Company . Growing up on a small farm in the “Fruit Ridge” area of West Michigan, Ben naturally began his career practicing agricultural law. His practice began by modernizing a small dairy farm and has since grown to servicing clients from Traverse City to the Indiana border. Ben especially loves succession planning and adding value to his clients’ businesses.
Ben earned a degree in Agribusiness Management from Michigan State University. While at MSU, he was a proud member of the 2008 Livestock Judging Team.  During law school, Ben completed an internship with 17th Circuit Court Judge Kathleen Feeney. He also had the privilege of completing an externship with Dr. Donald Buckingham at the Canada Agricultural Review Tribunal in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He earned his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2012.
Ben is married to his law school classmate and firm partner, Lindsey Barkow.  They are the proud parents of their two sons, Otto and Gunnar. Ben enjoys working on his family farm, welding, woodworking, attending auction sales, and traveling. He also enjoys serving as a livestock judge at youth fairs and guest lecturing on legal matters.
